New Patients

Starting care is simpler than it looks.

Here is what to expect, what to bring, and how to prepare for your first visit.

1

Book a free consultation

Schedule a 15-minute phone call so we can talk about what you need and whether we're the right fit.

2

Complete intake forms

After you book, you'll receive a secure link to intake forms, including your medical and psychiatric history.

3

Attend your first visit

Your initial evaluation is 60 minutes. We'll review your history, discuss options, and build a plan together.

What to bring

  • A valid ID and insurance card
  • A list of current medications and dosages
  • Names and contact information for your current therapist or primary-care provider
  • Any recent lab work or records related to your psychiatric care
  • A list of questions you want to discuss

Insurance & fees

We accept several major insurance plans and also offer self-pay options. If you do not see your plan listed, contact us and we can check your out-of-network benefits or discuss a reasonable self-pay rate.

Currently accepted plans include:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
  • Aetna
  • UnitedHealthcare / Optum
  • Cigna
  • Self-pay / out-of-network

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. I see patients via secure video anywhere in Massachusetts, as well as in person for those nearby.

How long are appointments?

Initial evaluations are 60 minutes. Follow-up medication-management visits are 30 minutes.

Do I need a referral?

Not usually. You can book directly. If your insurance requires a referral, we can help coordinate that.

What if I only need therapy, not medication?

This practice focuses on medication management. If therapy is your primary need, I'm happy to refer you to trusted therapists I collaborate with.
